1% of a $15,000 portfolio is only $150. These small caps tend to be volatile and can swing up and down way more than that within a day depending on your position. The result of which are annoying stop losses triggered too early. Although these depend on personal taste, I much prefer stop losses of 7-9% to make room for volatility without paying too much for brokerage
