Intelligent workplace technology company LiveTiles (ASX: LVT) has teamed up with software as a service company Linius Technologies (ASX: LNU) to develop an enhanced video-based intelligent meeting solution.

Under the deal, LiveTiles will integrate Linius’ cloud-based video virtualisation engine technology into its core platform.

It is expected this will enable LiveTiles users to extract unique and personalised videos from previously recorded meetings.

Users will be able to obtain brief video summaries of meetings, search for a topic within a meeting and access video summaries of cross-company issues.

Topics can then be compiled and emailed to a user or a team in a personalised video.

“We are really excited to be working with Linius on a compelling solution that will completely transform meetings and help drive effective decision making among employees,” LiveTiles co-founder and chief executive officer Karl Redenbach said.

“A once in a lifetime generational shift to working from home is currently taking place, and communication and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams are seeing unprecedented demand as a result.”

“The partnership could not have come at a more ideal time for both businesses to capture this market demand,” Mr Redenbach added.

According to LiveTiles, the combined technologies will boost employee engagement, efficiency and productivity.

Current LiveTiles customers will be able to incorporate the new technology into their subscription and will be charged on a per user per month basis.

Both LiveTiles and Linius will pursue sales and marketing initiatives to grow each company’s respective software distribution business.

Linius chief executive officer Chris Richardson said the company’s long-standing strategy in the corporate communications sector would be through its Microsoft co-sell partnership.

“LiveTiles, an award-winning Microsoft partner, were introduced to us via this relationship and we are thrilled to work with a company that is both strategically aligned with our vision, and at the forefront of intelligent workplaces.”

“It was clear from the start that there was a strong alignment, and together we could bring value to the market,” Mr Richardson added.
