Hi all,

Back in November we signed a milestone $9.5M five-year deal with South Tees NHS Trust for Miya Precision and Better’s OPENeP solution. Today, we are pleased to advise this contract has been extended to cover cloud hosting, implementation of our Smartpage clinical communication solution and business change management services. The extension adds a further $2.0M to the previous contract, bringing the total contract value to $11.3M (at current exchange rates).

South Tees is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK, with over 1,000 beds and 9,000 clinical and operational staff, caring for a population of over 1.5 million people.

The extension will see Alcidion provide South Tees with a secure hosting environment on Microsoft Azure, as well as the technical skills required to maintain the environment. Our Smartpage product will work alongside Miya Precision and enable real-time clinical communication and collaboration across wards. Additionally, Alcidion has been engaged to map out a program of change management across the five-year project that will ensure positive outcomes are met.

We are very pleased to build on our partnership with South Tees NHS Trust, a contract that was already Alcidion’s largest to-date for Miya Precision. This extension is a strong recognition of the breadth of our health IT offering, highlighting Alcidion’s full service approach to supporting the digital transformation of healthcare. Furthermore, it establishes South Tees as a key UK reference site for Alcidion’s product suite and services offering.
