Initial thoughts were yes.. on reflection he is already heavily invested and I am not aware of his personal financial situation and would not ask. As for a sizable salary, exclude the options at this stage as they are way away from vesting. So he is on around $300k. Not sure if you are in the IT industry but there are GM's and Exec GM's on that type of salary or more. I think the amount is reasonable for a CEO.
Also, take a look at the 2016 Annual report! Once again excluding options the guy has actually taken a pay cut.. how many CEO's have had to do that you are aware of at this level of pay??????
Most importantly he is being rewarded with options and do you know the best part about that.. that if he even manages to gets to exercise them because they are in the money.... then those who have supported the company and bought shares at this price will make a mint!!!!!
