I'm no doubt wasting my time here ( or "feeding the chooks")--but the rail CAN accommodate 10mt pa.

"10mt ?--yes no problem ---15mt? we could start to have issues" (i.e need extra shunting/side tracks etc and/or or longer storage lines -1 of which is already in place in BH and just needs to be re-certified as it hasn't been used for some years)

This from a current high level executive (in person conversation) in SA Rail --about 4 months ago.

I doubt if rail and its capacity or "lack" thereof is high on the HIO agenda now anyway.
