Would it help if I put it in terms you can relate to?
Say you have mistakenly bought decking 2.4 metres long and you discover you have to cut it down to 1.7 metres long to fit the job. What percentage of timber do you have to remove?
Or how about...a man buys loads of shares at 2.4c each and later sells them for 1.7 cents each. What was the man's loss as a percentage?
Maybe this one might spark something for you. If 17 people made bad investment decisions by buying NOR shares in 2020 and an additional 7 people made the same bad decision in 2021 by what percentage has the group grown?
