Director buys are just the way of the world. They are commonplace in the stockmarket for companies with great prospects. If a director is talking the talk, then the market will always question why he is not walking the walk. As for whether this a personal decision or not, yes it is but at the same time when one becomes the chairman of a public company, that person also realises that the position comes with shareholder expectations.

MB's previous successes may be working against him in this situation where there is a high level of expectation. That's just the way things are when you're a successful businessperson. I certainly have high expectations. It was a good signal to the market that MB has bought shares. It opens up the the possibility that he may buy more as he is obviously not against buying shares.

On a side note, it was good to read DR's enthusiastic comments in the AR, as previously he has been the quiet man.

Ultimately, despite all of the above, we still need to see results. There have been far too many false dawns with TZ for us to do any backslapping until we see big ticket news and a rising share price. However, at the moment, the signs do now look better than ever.
