It all depends on the entry level you acquired them at , it is all about ROI [ return on investment] , with me i have a average of around 35c [ post con 1.75 ] with a 75% gain in capital and am returning over 9% on my initial investment P/A, where as if you only have come on the market in recent times the return isn't that good compared to what you can get out of term dep's.. Although if they do return to a NTA [3.45] share price you COULD receive around 14% gain in capital in 12mths and return your 5.5% P/A as well.. This is all just basic maths and you should be able to put the numbers down on what you can achieve with what you have to invest but imo they are acting like defensive plays now and are not as volatile as they were 12mths ago. I also think they will soon return to a DRP system since they have consolidated and bring in franking as Mick C was a banker after all and they tend to work better and harder for sharehaolders.
