I did not expect WA to have these problems - I cannot see that they have ever admitted it was a problem. This is in stark contrast to Websters (WBA) - Walnuts and onions and they increased results but raised capital. SHV pays a dividend and then says they need a partner to get WA to optimum and no cash raising.
I own both and would prefer to invest in almonds yet this is the other way around. I would much rather have seen a rights issue at $1.00 and seen if we could not paddle our own canoe.
Not sure what I think just yet. Why do companies pay dividends when they should be conserving cash.
