Going broke - I am sorry to say that at least for me your explanation does not really hold water.
It sounds sensible and all, but ultimately it does not matter whether "the industry has long time frames" or " there are even more poorly performing companies out there". This does not mean that this company should not set itself challenging goals and be accountable for meeting them. And why should we be comparing our company with some other totally terrible performance rather then comparing it with the best?
Next of all, the good dividend you talk about is only a good dividend because the share price has completely tanked! The reason the sp is so low is because the market knows that we are only living on the hope Axiron will continue to sell - may be it will of maybe it will just fade out. Maybe Lilly will push it hard or maybe they won't. The point is that the sp does not reflect any confidence that any existing product other than Axiron is worth anything and that the company will ever deliver any future product capable of generating revenue.
10 years is just too long a time frame. We could all be dribbling in front of Price is Right re-runs by then.
IMO you have Buckley's of getting to $1 unless the market sees the company as a go ahead place making promises and delivering on them. But I can see no way we can get such a change in culture. If you can then please contribute.
I would love to be wrong - as I am deep underwater on the sp.
