Mr Pear, I think there is truth to that - that's why you don't see Brown or Duffell or Neylon as public spokesmen for the company. I also think that SK also brought IP to a company that didn't otherwise have any (eg OK) and Dad's Army decided this was the new thing and they needed to put a young smart tech person as the PR face. SK also clearly had an ego, and his own faults, but I doubt whether the promoters let him have any real power.
