Having to sell an extra device to connect to your smartphone proved a big hurdle for them. Cohero has nothing new - quote "Our mobile spirometer captures clinical grade lung function metrics (e.g., FEV, FVC, Peak Flow)". Similar compact mobile home spirometers have been around for years - there are 10 brands on eBay for under $300. This company just has added Bluetooth and an app on the phone for uploading to the cloud or doctor. The reality is that for most asthmatics you don't need a spirometer - just a peak flow meter for $20 will do the job - it simply measures how fast you can blow out air.
ResApp on the other hand is truly revolutionary - no external device needed, ability to diagnose different diseases by just coughing into your phone with 90% accuracy. On the proviso we get similar results coming out of the SMARTCOUGH-C study - that will change the way we assess all patients in future. It will be a must for all Telehealth consults and for all patients attending ERs of hospitals. There is nothing else like it.

Many thanks for the response. It does intrigue me how many articles are now starting to appear in various modes of press. The 'also-rans' are now letting themselves be seen, but they're all saying..."if only we could do this"
