Can someone explain what the billing model of Escrow is? As in, how does Escrow.com (and it's owner, FLN) actually make money from doing what it does?
I agree with the sentiment, poor presentation, the growth appears to have stalled and any number of reviews from both job posters and workers are fairly negative about the user culture, the amount of spam and the amount of "junk" users and applications there are.
For example, for a writing task, you might have a job poster asking for a rate of $0.01c per 100 words, which is a rate at which only very low skilled writers bid. That results in dozens of copy-pasted responses from writers with poor skills. Neither side happy, job not completed. Obviously there are highly successful examples too (some extracted in the report) but the overall "average" task seems to be fairly low quality and result which means project value is low, and most importantly, FLN's cut of the project value is also low.
