That's quite a poor trading update and explains why the share price has been going downhill . It's not manipulation, but rather the market re-rating the valuation based on lower expectations and poor performance. It's just a matter now of how much of this has been priced in and whether you believe the company can deliver on its 2HY19 forecast, which looks very ambitious if they are going to get anywhere close to guidance.
