I've previously owned fashion brands where we wholesaled to the larger department stores as well as boutiques across AU,
The majors would want a 100% - 120% markup, boutiques you can get away with much less.
Not sure how the groceries stores operate but I'd assume it would be far greater then 3-5% as it wouldn't be viable for them.
I have a client currently who wholesales 'health' products to coles, will ask what the mark up is next time we chat out of curiosity.
