I liked APT innovative way of enabling a larger but variable amount which a customer can elect to pay upfront, in order to buy an item which is, perhaps, over the maximum amount eg item is $2,000, customer pays $1,250 on purchase and thus remain within a $1,000 maximum permitted viz paying back $250 on the next three pay days. They have been trialling this on a small scale, found it worked well and now rolling that out. Their rationale was that in some shops you can buy expensive products alongside much cheaper ones, and it would be a pity not to have the facility to do something just like explained above.

Would be a merchant-friendly initiative, for sure. As well as suit their customers, APT's first interest.

That was described at the recent AGM.
