Being remunerated the way they are there is no real need to perform. They can just keep playing in the lab and earn huge money that they could never achieve on government grants if using their phds in research. Management need to start thinking like a company that needs to generate revenue and has no CR option. Making a profit is minimum that every company strives to do. Blog should not be the exception.
