Considering the announcement below in 2017, maybe it wont be so obvious to be fair.
I think you as well as other were blindsided to the idea we were involved with Future X and as it appears are set to be an integral feature in SK-ii's change of course into Future X, yet to be commercialised ofcourse. My opinion is investors should be recognising that we do play a major part in this area, commercial outcomes are still in question and we would hope it will be material acceptable to all shareholders when negotiations finalise.
@smac656, how would you for see consumer trials to take place? Are you of the belief they would be in the public or strictly in a closed non public environment? What about Future X, haven't SK-II made their intentions pretty obvious in the public in how they are set to change the future of retail? I would had thought a public trial of fragmented technologies is the way to go and then bring them all together, thats what i see taking place anyway. Yumi, Augmented Reality, Future X (the future of retail) Magnetic application, Opte with ink jet printing, Olay Face Navi, Olay Skin Advisor are all parts of the greater personalisation of P&G's beauty products that should all eventually come together as one or in the case of Future X, a bridge between online and offline.
However I do agree that it may not be the case of this campaign including OBJ Tech, as everything to date has been highly secretive/sensitive to both parties so its also possible that we will get minimal recognition if any until the trial periods are complete. I can only imagine this wont effect our bottom line (Positively) at this point either until they recognise OBJ in the process and formal commercialisation begins, negotiations are agreed and signed. However, like Ces and Future X stores, the consumer feedback is already in market and to put that in the hands of the regular consumer, at home, appears would have to be the next most likely step in consumer trials.

advanced units containing the technology to be used in various consumer trials thatwill define the end product designs during the second stage. This is expected toultimately lead to an extensive program of new products utilising the new OBJtechnology platform.This first stage will be conducted under an existing agreement that operates betweenOBJ and the partnering company, with an addendum to this to cover the newtechnology platform.
Following the initial consumer work, a second agreement will be executed to allowfor the refinement of new products utilising the new technology.
This will includegaining feedback over a number of consumer trials expected to be conducted duringcalendar 2017.It is recognised by both parties that the new technology platform has been developedto an advanced state by OBJ over a number of years and therefore requires anappropriate license fee structure that reflects this.
The adoption of this new technology platform by the multinational company has thepotential to change the manner in which customers interact with multiple consumerproducts.The partner will pay for the costs and any out of pocket expenses incurred by OBJduring the term of this agreement, in addition to licensing and royalty fees on productsdelivered during this first stage. It will then retain the exclusive rights to thetechnology in their market space.
