I have one reason for believing that the virus is already beyond containment, and that the current mortality figures are exaggerated: and that is that the overwhelming majority of those who contract the disease have very mild symptoms, or even no symptoms at all. This is particularly true for healthy people and children. That means that unless authorities have a reason to measure you, or you have a reason to believe you may have Covid19, you are very unlikely to present for medical treatment. From this I infer that:
There is a significant and growing population of people who have had the disease who haven't been counted in the official figures, which means that the true mortality rate is overstated.
It is likely that the disease is present in areas for periods of time before any cases occur that are serious enough to come to official notice. We are beginning to see this now with cases presenting for medical treatment who have no known travel in high-risk areas, or contact with infected people.

I believe that the efforts to contain the virus are probably now doing more harm than the virus itself would do. We should (in my opinion) just make efforts to moderate its rate spread.

I agree on your sentiment regards Corona but looking at the depth on EOS the knife may not be falling any more. Good signs on market indicators too.
