Hi Butcherboy, The point you raise re gas prices is quite interesting. If you look at the realised gas price for domestic gas in the Woodside march 20 quarterly it is $2.30/gj or around USD$1.50/gj which is not far off US prices i.e. pretty cheap. There is a big difference between Australian east coast prices which are expensive and west coast prices. I assume this is why there are three lithium hydroxide converters planned ( one built) on the west coast. Even though capex in Aust would be higher than China the opex i.e. cheap gas and not having to ship 94% "dirt" to China would likely be the offsetting factors.
