It is but life has some funny twists. About a week after all the cam work and tuning was completed an old spinal injury suddenly resurfaced....C5/6 disc replaced in 2003....due to motorcycle racing. Neurosurgeon at the time said in very blunt terms that motorcycles were no longer an option......yeah yeah yeah. Anyway, I was not prepared for what the recent neck MRI showed......my motorcycle days are definitely over for good. I am getting a few quick rides on the old Pacific highway (literally at my front door) before the neurosurgeon appointment tomorrow rules motorcycles out forever.

I have tried to explain to my wife the sheer work of art a Ducati 998S is and that many people have them as collectors items (investments) and place them in their lounge rooms. Just let me say that the mere suggestion of this idea to my wife resulted in many loud and sustained expletives, but in between all this I did glean that she will never warm to this perfectly sensible idea.
