The market is missing the IRD story and interestingly people do read this HC site, yet rarely leave comment. The retail shares available for IRD make up only 14% of the total, but retail needs to know how undervalued the company and its assets are. HC can help with that a little, and it is part of the reason I have invested here after having becoming passionate about the potential of magnetite mining in South Australia.
As you can tell by my pseudonym, my initial interest started with magnetite in the Braemar region and surrounds. However, my research revealed significant shortcomings with proposals to mine at scale there, something which is conveniently not covered in any detail by several companies hoping to go to production, by the company PFS and on their HC sites.
I’ll get to the point shortly, but the farm in party for IRD’s Gawler Craton Iron Ore assets is likely SIMMEC mining, whose resources of ore to supply the Whyalla Steel Works are near end of life. The Gawler Craton ores lye 25 Kms from a direct railway line to Whyalla. SIMMEC mining have previously tried to access new resources from Havillah tenements in the Braemar region.
Now you need to read this :
https://www.infrastructure.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0007/119392/GFG-Alliance.pdf
I have not posted this on other HC sites as it would be considered down ramping.
It’s all about the Infrastructure.
You can’t just say “ we will use the existing railroad, ports, power, water, construct a slurry pipeline etc etc” What’s so good about IRD is that they never proposed to start small and grow using methods that could not support mining at scale. They have a massive resource, so do others, but you won’t see anything that resembles the Strategic linkages across the Eyre Peninsula, as highlighted in the IRD GM presentation. These are achievable goals for a company that already owns the Port land, and already has a mining license in place as well as most other approvals.
I could go on, I’m no genius and have probably dribbled to much already but come on people, have your say and together we can help get IRD to retail investors.
