You may have forgotten that the woke, incompetent Victorian Labor government remains in office and has unfortunately just imposed a seven day Victoria-wide lockdown. Freight will be affected less, but won't escape a drop as economic activity in Victoria will be less than normal.

With Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport normally linked to Sydney Airport via the topselling domestic airline route, this will badly reduce SYD's passenger numbers.

A domestic passenger accounts for far less revenue than an international one, but numbers of both are depressed at present, and normally there are many more of the former than the latter.

There's no guarantee the Victorian lockdown won't be extended, or that Daniel Andrews or Acting Premier James Merlino won't impose more lockdowns even if this fourth one ends next week.
