There is nothing unusual about Farasis deal, they wan't mass production in 2023, Group14 promised they can deliver, Talga couldn't promise that.

What I find interesting is @Pippydog commnet from AGM:

MT gave an anecdote about when Talga take their anode products to battery manufacturers, they try to guess how Talga made the product and Talga say "no actually its not made that way", and the manufacturers say "oh in that case, we have no idea how you did that and I don't think anyone does". Not worth much but its a nice little anecdote."

That could be the insight, why so through testing and qualification by the customers. They wan't to know and understand the process if they don't understand it or the process is something new they will demand thorough large scale testing. No battery cell producer wan't to have impurities or other quality issues of anode material. In worst case this could directly lead to battery fires.
