Yes they did pay more than MLT share price as the share traded at a discount to NTA.
The other issue people raise is TPG and the problems it faces. Whether real or perceived they question what the investment is worth and the fact that it is mostly locked up for a time period.
I think you could also argue the same for the NHC - coal asset. However as RMillner has stated SOL could claim to be targetting net zero in 2050 as the NHC assets deplete by 2040. It is amazing how many stories you can weave.
