Gone is the day when you can simply take a book value of a company and use it to determine market value.

Not saying its not a valid term to calculate a companies value, just that most companies currently do not represent book values at all.

Bank of Queensland had a market cap of 5M and has a book value of 6M. How can the share price valuation of the company be below that of the underlying net assets??? makes no sense but is currently occuring.

Tesla is worth a 1 Trillion with shares that should be valued at -$5USD/p.s. based off book value of assets. ie liabilities are more than assets and that there is negative equity in the business.

The issue always comes down to intangible assets such as goodwill, risk factors (country of establishment and production etc), future tech (moreso in tesla's case) ie how do you value autonomous transport tech?

Ioneer will be one of the largest lithium mines in USA in the future, just give it time. Thacker pass requires ridiculous amounts of water and seems impractical even if it goes ahead and has an even stronger greenies resistance than Rhyolite.

Lowest cost producer of lithium globally, readily expandable and in USA where arguable the most investment is pumped from around the world.
