This isn't 1991, I personally don't believe any future recession will be remotely similar in terms of severity. Unemployment rates are historically very low right now - more workers and more money flowing through the economy than ever before in times like this. Not to say the doom and gloom isn't warranted but its times like today when investors are easily spooked and miss out on bargains because of fear. DYOR of course and make your own investment decisions.
