You can’t have the 10 year treasure yields hovering around 4.3% return (correlate inflation) whilst simultaneously waging war on the middle class with interest rates and those with 600k to million dollar mortgages, and not expect the equities market (amongst others) to crap itself..

And don’t get me started on decades of QE, to be flipped into QT on a six month dime..

Thats what we face in a nutshell..

And the broker data correlates to retail bailing out creating the perception of a falling knife with contagion risk in full swing.. (aka compounding the knife).. Likely to pay the additional mortgage cost and continued cost of living pressures..

As an example the cost of food on its own is out of control, i went to Woolworths last night for the first time in ages.. Milk is insane! $7 for two litres of good milk, 24 slices of Colby cheese on special was $10.. umm WTF?? I believe we are starting to see the beginnings of hyper inflation, and unless something comes along (as yet I don’t know what) to pivot, said hyper inflation will be in full swing over the next 6-12 months..

We ain’t seen nothing yet, we haven’t felt the first real shockwave..

As I said to a young friend of mine who wants to buy a secondhand 40k landcruiser the other day:

“Take that 40k, open a commsec account and diverse it amongst some value commodity equities, in two-three years time you could buy 10 of them if you want..”
