'Mr Market' was his usual grumpy self this morning in early trade, with the scrip down even more initially than the six per cent it's down as at 1026 AEDT.
I cannot complain about the huge dividend. It's the consistency I like, along with the expunging of external debt even in trying circumstances with a lot of wet weather between June and December 2022.
'HC' posters who suggested that the dividend would be A$2 or A$1.50 were unfortunately divorced from reality.
With the Stratford/Duralie mine, I would prefer YAL didn't go off on some frolic re an unattainable Nirvana or some so-called 'renewables hub'. This would be fraught with danger. By all means rehabilitate the mine as NHC did with some of New Acland, and run cattle or whatever else is suitable for this often wet region.
