There is a bit of a myth going on that Yancoal is debt free when it is not and they are not claiming to be debt free either. Whilst they have cash in excess of their debts they still owe $673 million. Below is a quote from their presentation:• Will repay US$333 million in March, removing the last external, interest bearing loans; only $182 million of lease liabilities will remain.
- At 31 December 2022, gross debt was $673 million and cash held of $2,699 million.
