Your first theory could be right, but then the net result is them only selling 20 mill (as they had to buy the 50 mill) so they only got to sell 20 mill, If they wanted to do this, they could just put the order there, ie 50 mill at 1 cent, wait for the orders to build up behind it (the 20 mill in ur example), then just pull their buy order and sell to the ones behind it. This way they would avoid having any capital expenditure, avoid brokerage cost or any investigation, so not sure if the theory really holds up. Like you say we will probably never know, but no doubt we will be given change substantial holder notice updates, so might be able to put the pieces together in time. Call me a degenerate but I just bought in again at 0.8![]()
