why?
CBA recently bought $6bn worth of buy-back so what was the need to do another $2bn? instead they should have distributed additional $1 in dividend and aim to increase yield then what it is currently sitting on... IMO.
certainly they can pump the share price with $2bn buy-back similar to what NAB is doing at the moment but it wouldn't help long-term investors but instead helps traders... IMO.
