Yeah it's comical. It adds no value as everyone gets the options. It's no different from a share split or a consolidation. The more options they issue pro-rata, the less the shares are worth. Purely illusory and complicates the register and balance sheet. A company might issue options if it needs to raise money at a point in time but they don't. They are paying out 90%+ by way of dividend. This company has too many problems and now a Board that is trying to be fancy.
