@madamswer Yep, I did have a moment of madness there given that SDI revenue from within Australia rests somewhere between 5% and 10% of total revenue and probably closer to 5%. But rest easy, it won't happen again as one of my new year's resolutions is "No more moments of madness".
But all of this has caused me to re-visit.
Sometimes a pictorial presentation helps me think about such matters more clearly. It's clear that the investment in the business has increased and the cost impact has been softened by the improvement in revenue and gross profit (courtesy of a worldwide reduction in freight costs), although these gains have not been sufficient to counter the costs linked to the capital increase.
About 70% of the interest cost for the 2023 financial year occurred in the second half of the year so the interest number for 2024 will be greater which, if nothing else, will make it difficult to push the green column any higher for a little while. This is what this current conversation is all about.
I will continue to HOLD but the half yearly report is now going to get a lot more attention than I have given earlier reports.
