bwt - the line I circled in orange is what I suggested to Nic while ago when I was also suggesting it is good idea to explain the plans clearly and to outline what projects ALK plans to test, when and how.
Going by memory but something along those lines. And I remember about suggesting to put a clause that projects will be re-evaluated as exploration progresses and some timelines may change due to shifting priorities. I think Nic had some concerns over people may hold him if he misses some timelines in an event, they hit something at one of the prospects and they have to focus more there for a while. It was something along those lines if I remember correctly and that's how I end up suggesting placing such clause.
He can't make everyone happy but no reasonable person will scream why they had to delay couple of prospects by 1-2 quarters so they can drill follow up holes to prove new discovery at one particular project.
As long as those projects are not placed on hold indefinitly. ALK is now project generator aka explorer (with positive cashflow) so needs to have healthy pipeline of projects running simultaneously.
This is how they drive growth and defend the SP from sinking too low.
