From memory, Talga tried hard to engage with the Sami and foster open communications, but I got the impression these people were only interested in finding another reason to complain and find new reasons to try to block the project altogether. It looked to me that Talga bent over backwards to try accommodate their views (e.g. by agreeing to mine only 6 months a year outside of the period when the reindeer migrate there), and yet they still decided to mount multiple legal appeals. You can't reason with people like that. Hopefully, the supreme court will dismiss their final appeal outright, and that will be the end of it.
