PAR (ASX) Ann: 2023 Annual Report and Appendix 4E

Rightio, had a glance through it...let's do the annual side by side comparison...

I'll use the same sections as last year's post (see ref section below for last year's post).

SECTION 1 - Top 20

Here is the key:

We can see that 7 holders held their rank, 6 dropped and only 3 increased not only their shares but their ranking.
Four newcomers to the raking, (Welcome aboard, we hope your ride this year wont be as bumpy as the last!)...in fact we hope it soars through to higher levels yeah?

As also indicated by the percentages in the two purple boxes above, not a lot has changed in the top in terms of overall holdings as a percentage of the entire market cap. of Par. Yes there are a few more shares overall (dilution) that we have experienced with the last raise.

This is also evidenced by the fact that last year you could've got into the top 20 with around 1.128 million shares, now you have to be 1.4 million plus.

SECTION 2 - Holding Distribution

Let's have a look at the breakdown by segments over the year...

The big take away here is look at the total holders, its barely changed! Maybe that's not surprising? (It sorta is to me, I would've thought it would've gone up a bit...like even the low 16,000's, at the same time I might have not been as surprised if the numbers went down as a few got frustrated (specially the mum and dad type holders that couldn't take the pain anymore....this could've still happened mind you but they may have got replaced by NEW mum and dad investors that came along and thought, hmm now here is a nice cheap stock I can get myself into?)

Oh happy the new beholder today...in my express personal and non advice type words, you are really getting in cheap at these levels, my goodness. Here I am thinking I'm so great (I don't really) doing all this multitude of crazy effort science research and I'm almost back to square one *hmmmm* 61 cents?? Even 71 cents? I have no words.

But I think I'm digressing, lets get back to the analysis.

Lets check out the bands, graphically:

Nothing to see here...pretty much no change...maybe a slight swing from smaller holders to larger (Bands 1-1000 numbers falling here from LY to TY compared to 10,0001-100,000 which increased and the next band up as well).

The other note I wanted to make is that out of the entire 14,094 of us, a full 2,673 holders have less than a marketable parcel:

My point here is that 2,673 virtually have not very much at all, we should really subtract them off the total number of holders...ie 14,094 - 2,673 is 11,421. My point is that there isn't a lot of us!

I for one will be very interested to see how these numbers change from year to year going forward!
