Not sure how much the shorts would have impacted the share price drop from almost $5 to ~$3.55 we see today. However I am curious to see what others might think is the explanation. Certainly going ex dividend would have led to 50c+ decline, but not sure what else.
Thinking HLI definitely looks attractive below $3.50, and have noticed that the August dividend has generally been considerably less than the Feb dividend.
Not sure how much the shorts would have impacted the share price...
