Financial advisers are fickle - but they're also bandwagon riders. They won't stick their necks out & recommend something to their clients until they believe most other financial advisers are doing so, especially after so many years of PTM's products being on the nose. As such, I suspect, until 5 and 10 year performance looks better than the indices, it may be like trying to turn the Titanic. If that does eventuate (and it may not) then the long and short record will look good from every angle.
However, this "bandwagon phenomena" means timing the "turnaround" may be difficult. It also means that when it happens (if it does), it may be very rapid.
But, who knows really...? All in my opinion. Do you own research. Be good to your mother.
