I thought I would have a quick look here again. It has been a 5 min look with no real thought or analysis.
One thing that interests me is this.
Imagine this.
As at 28 feb, the main fund has outperformed the index by 9.7% over the past year. So an excellent starting point on which to build a new legacy.
What if they sacked everyone, put that fund into an index fund, let it track the market for 5 years, then the performance metrics of the fund will still show outperformance over 3 and 5 year periods, and all the dumb money will be attracted back in. Then after 5 years, let Kerr and Madamswer manage 20% of the fund from their home offices. Driving outperformance for the next 5 years. Then with outperformance over a decade, and two of Australia's wisest investors running the show from their homes, FUM will start flooding in, and the shareholders will be very happy.
That would be a business I would invest in. I can only dream.
