Hmmm... an interesting presentation.
WB started with a quip at SL and his 3D model of the Never Never discovery, which... I don't really understand why, unless he is frustrated that his attempted T/O of GCY (now SPR) failed, due partly to SL having caught GCY in a binding agreement to merge. Just seemed out of character for him, but... I imagine a lot of discussions, ego's clashing etc at Beaver. Plus... WB had a very good opportunity to buy into GCY when it was getting recapitalized even if it had been done on market! But he chose not to. Or frustrated with GCY/SPRs share price re-rate?
There were some interesting statements made in regards to production aspirations, with WB clearly mentioning a 300k+ (the plus is new) p.a. goal.
Great Fingal is a key driver of that becoming a reality.
Spot sales for the month sitting at $2994 an ounce. Should see some very good margins...
Also found his comment about having been at Beaver last year, and he and the CFO were wondering if they would make it next year, in case WGX went under. Seemed very off-hand, but... I cannot help but be disappointed as it gives me a slight pause about just how much they believe in the company's potential going forward
But... at the same time, his honesty/frankness is refreshing (he has stated on numerous occasions it has been a very challenging job to steer WGX away from real failure).
Great Fingall - development starting next month. As per their plan. Also mentioned that at full steady state, it will produce more than 50k ounces p.a. Which is above the 45k mentioned in the presentations.
Very pleased to see him clearly explain that their tenements across the Murchison are under explored. Most holes are shallow.
$2.00 not far off now, sort of a little hard to believe the company was so sold down, but... feel pretty lucky to have grabbed a few of those discounted shares.
