Given NEU appears to have 3 options - t/o, partnering, going it alone - I wonder whether JP is now recognising that his time as CEO might be coming to an end, no matter which way the cookie crumbles.
As hottod and eagle have pointed out, we saw a different JP this time - slightly jaded, slightly frustrated.
He speaks about being agnostic, but surely the Board has a preference and I get an inkling that it might be different from his preferred outcome.
I wouldn't have swapped him for anyone up until now - but it wouldn't surprise me if he or the Board thought it time to move on.
