The reason I am still holding VAU is that I think it is undervalued as a gold producer and especially comparing to other gold producers, so if I was to sell I would be selling this at probably it's lowest point and buying into something that has already rallied. My issue with VAU was the hedging, however now is not the time to pay out the hedge as gold is pretty uncertain and could fall as quickly as it rose. In essence I am a long term holder and obviously wish VAU well as I would like to profit from the company as much as anyone else, so good luck to all long term holders.
