Nick - the market is sick of (just) talk - LT (and his team spokespersons) speak when there's something to say .... if the the company is just humming along and performing as predicted, he'll wait for the quarterly to give an update. The next couple of quarterly's should see enhanced profitable operations if the POG remains in the current high profit zone, and if the market is still interested in gold producers, then VAU should rerate higher.
MD's generally (and LT in particular) have a cynical view of being expected to provide regular meaningless market speak pabulum , just to sooth the frazzled nerves of small retail shareholders.
LT once said to me in a phone conversation (when I was a large SLR SH) that he spends his days supervising the company by close attention to the companies section managers daily reports, and site visits when necessary, and generally overseeing the entire demands of a large workforce with numerous regulatory issues etc etc etc. He couldn't talk to ME or other SH every time we got worried by "lack of progress".
Subsequently I had to agree with him ... I think the sainted Raleigh agrees too.
If there is information available that's VAU specific, that will likely have positive or negative impact on the SP, under ASX regulations, he duty bound to "keep the market informed" .... otherwise assume things are on track.
