Other excellent factors - touch wood, so Murphy's Law doesn't intervene - include:

    * the lack of Hunter Valley NSW rail disruptions (although YAL and competitors normally have stockpiles at the port of Newcastle, though YAL was previously affected from Moolarben when an AZJ train derailed and the Ulan line was closed for many days).

    * relatively dry conditions, so no problems with flooding at open cut mines. There should be some rain soon: heavy in Sydney, perhaps less so north where the YAL mines are, though BOM predicts over three days 'up to' 58 millimetres at Singleton. If all that fell - problems.

Don't believe the doom'n'gloom often Marxist climate alarmists who in a 21st century twist to the famous 'said Hanrahan' poem by a NSW Catholic priest - look up 'we'll all be rooned' if you've never heard of this verse - are predicting the end of coal, and how we'll all be in dire straits if that doesn't instantly occur.

Good on YAL for paying $2.1 billion in tax as it states. Unfortunately though governments waste money, unlike many of us who carefully build up savings (including YAL holdings).
