I spoke to the chair and Maxine about utilising all the functionality provided by digital technology for AGM presentation.

I pointed out that there is no longer any reason for the board and management to be regularly updated by the registry on the number of incoming proxy and direct votes….this is legacy procedure that was justified for display purposes.

The registry company’s have the capabilities to display the collected votes by interfacing it with a company prepared display after the votes are taken.

This basically amounts that the board and management will find out the results for any resolution at the same time as the attendees.
The digital technology basically allows votes being displayed having an attribute that closely emulates a Federal or State election.

I was disappointed that chair displayed the collated votes on a resolution and then asked attendees and virtual participants to vote.
I think that on close spill voting situation like on a remuneration resolution by displaying the results prior to voting should not be may influence the original intent of some shareholders
