I'm looking forward to the annual report on 24th June. I have no doubt that the (supermarket) profits will have been squeezed but am hoping that other divisions have been solid. I haven't referred to past data but would expect, as a minimum, dps of around 11c. If such is the case, the div yield would exceed 5% pre franking credits. Not a shabby return but we'll wait and see.
More recently, I've been in regional areas where Metcash has little opposition. Shops seemed to be well stocked and busy. It is always good to get others views on this company. That's why we're here. GLTAH Keith
