I've been watching the developing optimism around Barrick returning to production at the start of April (https://www.miningmx.com/trending/60698-mali-gold-output-forecast-assumes-reopening-of-barrick-mine/) positive news around this return to production should in my opinion promote positive price movement, showing at least some returning confidence in Mali. Just depends if they (the Junta) openly agree to the signed deal, which is the only barrier in my mind.
Also wonder if the agreement that barrick has signed will include the 3 tons of gold the Junta took, either to return it to barrick or use it as a discount one the outstanding tax... either that or barrick are just gonna cop the loss.
