Announcing the initiation of the CEO appointment process on November 15, 2023, but only advertising the position on LinkedIn Jobs on January 18 (64 days later), especially during the critical 249D period, raises concerns about the company's speed of execution and transparency.
Disregarding the apparent much longer delay (especially given OB's initial "short-term" executive appointment in Dec 2021 and subsequent extended tenure as the sole executive), the decision to post a job ad now appears untimely and poorly timed, especially amid the cloud of the 249D situation. How can they expect to attract high-caliber candidates until the ongoing issue is resolved.
Rather than relying on a job ad, a thorough and independent selection committee with international networks is crucial for a suitable candidate search. Had this process been actually initiated in November 2023 (or better still upon Glenn's resignation) and done independently, perhaps it could have prevented the need for a 249D.
