The deeper you look. The worse it gets.
PTM is not the same business it was 20+ years ago when I was placing client money with this manager. They were positioned as upside capture with some downside protection. Some years the flagship International Fund out-performed the MSCI World index by 10%. However they are now in "no-where-land" in the market these days. Passive investing via an index weight allocation (choose your flavour of index) is so easy, low cost and effective. And their active long stock picks and index shorting is both working against them..
